Domaine FAIVELEY (Nuits-Saint-Georges) Part VI -- 2022 White Wines Tasted from Bottle and Samples
Technical Director Jérôme Flous said that yields for the whites were 47-50 hl/ha. Malolactic fermentations finished in the spring.
A report on an earlier tasting of these and some other white wines is here.
2022 Mercurey Cos Rochette
Monopole, 5 ha. Mineral, a bit hard here, but also crystalline. Needs a year or two but should come around. Tasted from bottle. 88+/B+
2022 Ladoix Les Marnes Blanches
Faces north, pure, mineral, deep, cooler fruit, lots energy. (90-92)
2022 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet
Floral, deep, round nose; round, ripe but not overripe in mouth, long, rich, energetic, deep. Elegant. Very long finish. Planted 1988. (95-97)
2022 Bâtard-Montrachet
This wine comes from a single parcel, beginning with Bienvenues and then extending up. More breadth than Bienvenues, more substance, but less elegance. Still a power/elegance combination. (94-96)
2022 Corton-Charlemagne
Tremendous energy in the nose and mouth, mineral, depth, tension but also ripeness, richness, great length in mouth. A huge success. (97-99)
