An earlier tasting of many of these wines and some others is reported here.
2022 Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley
Deep nose with stones and licorice. Firm, smooth, dark fruits with some red, more structure than other wines. Freshness. (94-97)
2022 Echézeaux En Orveaux
Mineral, freshness, dark fruits, energy, depth, firmness, great length in mouth. (94-96)
2022 Clos-Vougeot
Two parcels at the bottom of the Clos, one in the middle. Dark fruits, full-bodied, but finesse at the same time. This will need time in bottle but impressive. (93-96)
2022 Latricières-Chambertin
Energetic, nervous, firm, red and dark fruits, good depth, firmness. (93-96)
2022 Mazis-Chambertin
Very complex nose. Stones, herbs, spices. Full-bodied, round, dark fruits, penetrating, but with the finesse of the vintage. Faiveley’s is consistently one of the best Mazis I know. This wine is perhaps a little subdued compared to my tasting of it in June 2023. (94-97)
2022 Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze
Very complex nose, small spices, licorice, depth, purity. A great wine. (96-99)
2022 Musigny
2015 was first vintage with the new parcel. 50% whole cluster, 100% new oak. Licorice in nose. Full bodied but with finesse, depth, length, red and dark fruits, sensual texture, amazing length in mouth. Not typical of Musigny but a great wine nonetheless. Velvet texture. (97-99)
