Capsule opened in May 2024. Already by lunch in early July, it was doing a very good business. Other than us, I did not see any non-French people. The restaurant is close to the Cochin hospital and medical facilities, and I imagine that they supply a large part of the lunchtime clientèle.
The interior consists of an initial entry room, which includes a bar,
and a back room that one gets to by walking down a passage that includes an opening to the kitchen:
Tables are well-spaced and the interior is cheery. There are also many tables outside along the two exterior walls of the restaurant.

The wine list is natural with plenty of selections by glass and carafe:
It is a good wine selection for casual dining with fair prices, and you will be told if a wine is very sauvage (too wild for many people’s taste).
The lunch menu at 22/26€ looked so interesting and so well-priced that we both opted for it, all three courses.
The watermelon gazpacho with feta cheese and mint was most delicious with an additional piquant element coming, I think, from some hot paprika.
I took a glass of Sancerre blanc from Domaine de la Rossignole with this and L had a glass of Ventoux blanc from the excellent Domaine de Fondrèche, both of which worked very well with the watermelon gazpacho
As L commented, the pintade (guinea hen) with mashed potatoes made for perfect comfort food.
For wine with this course, we ordered a Côtes-du-Rhône rouge from Domaine des Deux Cols and a Morgon from Anthony Thevenet, both of which worked with the dish, but neither of which was especially distinguished on its own.
Finally, the apricot tartelette with white chocolate ganache was nothing short of light and lovely, a fine way to finish off a meal.

Capsule is not a destination restaurant (and doesn’t seek to be one), but it provides high quality food and excellent value in a casual atmosphere.
