A Few 2022 Mittelrhein Riesling GG -- Jost and Ratzenberger

Mittelrhein is a region that even many German wine fans don’t know exist. There’s not a lot of wine here, but it can be very good.

2022 (Bacharach) Im Hahn  Riesling GG

Round, smooth, medium concentration, yellow fruits, but lacks some depth and penetration. One of my earliest volume purchases of German wine was 1990 Bacharach Im Hahn Riesling Kabinett from Jost, and every bottle was excellent. 89/B

RATZENBERGER

2022 (Bacharach) St. Jost  Riesling GG

Pure, clear, roses, yellow fruits, medium-weight, elegant, forward. 92/A

2022 (Bacharach) Wolfhöhle  Riesling GG 

Elegant, smooth, not as fruity as St. Jost. Some yellow fruits, though. 90/B+
