Weisser Burgunder (Pinot Blanc) can produce in Germany wines of a type that one never, or almost never, encounters in many other areas where the grape in planted, and the Pfalz is perhaps foremost in the Weisser Burgunders it produces. At their best, they are clear, pure, saline, mineral, and racy.
